Ronnie Marcelo Aurello, 60, of Paauilo died May 31 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honokaa, he was the banquet lead houseman at The Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel, banquet porter at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and brittle maker for Hawaiian Holiday Macadamia Nut. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (June 22) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Service to follow. Lydia Jean Cherrigan, 103, of Paauilo died May 10 at home. Born in Lead, S.D., she was owner of the former Kamuela Sporting Goods, co-founder of North Hawaii Hospice and a member of the St. James Episcopal Church. Memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday (June 22) at the St. James Episcopal Church in Waimea. Casual attire. No flowers; memorial donations to North Hawaii Hospice. Survived by daughters, Charlotte (John) Crouch of Waikoloa, Dana Montgomery of California, Tamara (Leslie) Purdy of Waimea and Tisa (Paul Eugenio) McManus of Paauilo; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Annie Kaiaikuhia Kaaukai, 79, of Hilo died May 17 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Malama, Puna, she was a retired van driver for the county Office of Aging, member of Opihikao Congregational Church, Kalapana Mauna Kea Congregational Church, New Hope Puna. Kalapana Community Organization, board member of Puna Canoe Club and volunteer for Hawaii Food Basket. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday (June 21) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Celebration of life also 1 p.m. Sunday (June 23) at Wailoa State Park Pavilion No. 2. Aloha attire; flowers and lei welcome. Reilly K. Narruhn, of Hilo, died May 16. Born in Chuuk, Micronesia, he was a Walmart associate and theology graduate of Pacific Island Bible College. Funeral service noon Friday (June 21) at Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. in Hilo. Burial 11 a.m. Saturday (June 22) at Alae Cemetery. Roscoe “Rocky” Albert Shorey IV, 42, of Washougal, Wash., died March 30 on Mount St. Helens in Washington. Born in Kona, he was a certified personal trainer, skydiving instructor, motorcyclist and mountaineer, and business graduate from Washington State University, who volunteered and mentored youth for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and numerous outdoors organizations. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (June 21) at Kona Outdoor Circuit, 76-6280 Kuakini Highway. Celebration of life 10-11 a.m. Luncheon 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Interment 1 p.m. at Kona Memorial Park 75-5553 Mamalahoa Hwy. in Holualoa. No flowers.
